He continued following the trail of blood, cautiously, but rapidly. He wanted to get their as soon as he could but he didn’t want to get ambushed. He picked his steps, avoiding leaves or branches as much as he could. The blood however was getting thinner and thinner as it went deeper into the woods. Gohan was worried he may just come to a dead end. He sighed, now seeing a final, faint spot of blood before pure darkness. He looked around, seeing if there were any other signs of the warrior. Gohan decided his best option was to just continue down this trail until he cannot anymore. He stepped forward, past the blood into the darkness. Suddenly he tripped, over something pretty big. He got up, and looked down, he couldn’t really see anything, so he merely improvised, and he held his hand out, release Ki to emit light, using it as a type of lantern. He then looked down to see it was the warrior he had fought atop the mountain. He was dead, obviously from blood loss. Gohan sighed, and had nothing left to follow. He kneeled down, getting a closer look at the warrior, pulling its mask down and seeing the face. Gohan leapt back grasping his chest; his heart was beating so rapidly he thought he may have had a heart attack. That was no human under the mask, it was a Demon. The facial features gave it all away, stringy white hair, blood red eyes, slightly rolled up into the warrior’s head, sharp fangs hanging from its open mouth. Not to mention Gohan had already encountered the beast’s sharp claws. Gohan stood up; backing away from it a bit, then he turned his back to it. He looked into the darkness, not knowing what he may encounter; he flared his Ki lantern a bit higher to hopefully ward off any thing that may try to sneak up on him. Gohan then continued walking on, into the darkness, following the path as well as he could. Gohan continued walking the path, and after what seemed like hours, he finally heard voices from afar. He grinned, believing this may be what he was searching for. He rushed forward, ignoring his stealth now. However as he reached the point at the end of the woods, he leapt upward, sitting on the branch of a tree, looking down at a group of humans talking and arguing.
“You think that thing can defeat my perfect Asuki” A man in all black, with cracked shades said furiously.
“Asuki” a man in similar clothing with a long white hair said.
“That little bitch is weak, hell I could beat her” the man with white hair said tauntingly as he chuckled.
“Gentlemen, gentlemen” a tall, sleek man said, breaking the arguments with his cool wordplay.
“Why don’t we stop arguing over who is better, and just have a tournament to see ourselves, I dare say it has been boring lately in the arena” The tall man said again.
“Indeed, that is a splendid idea” a short man with a bowler hat spoke this time.
The four men seemed to agree finally that a tournament was their best source of settling the argument. From the sounds of it, they planned on wagering money on the winner, obviously each man bet for their own. However what confused Gohan was what were they using to fight. Gohan had no idea at the moment, but before long the open area was clear and he would be free to sneak in and look around a bit. Gohan waited for a few minutes, making sure the men had time to leave the area completely and not linger around in the corridors he may be wandering. Gohan then slowly dropped from the tree, landing on his feet with his knees bent. His body was crouched down, and he was shifting his eyes around, looking for anyone who may notice him. He then quickly ran forward, staying low to the ground as he did so, and once he darted through the carelessly open door, he shut it to reduce suspicious. He found himself in an empty corridor, Gohan slowly walked down it, keeping on his toes just in case someone turned round the corridor and spotted him. As he made his way to the corner, he noticed a shadow, he kept his back to the wall, and slowly moved his head around to see two men walking away from the corner, they were deep in conversation, but Gohan quickly retracted his head none the less. He then, spun to the side so that he was in the same corridor as his distracted foes, and then quickly clenched his fist pulling it down to his waist. Then suddenly he through his arm forward, as if to punch. However he released a barrage of Ki balls from his fist, which flooded into the corridor, striking down the men. Then he quickly dashed through the corridor, moving over the fallen men.
“That was easy” Gohan said to himself as he turned the next corner, running down the next corridor.
As he continued running he noticed a window, stopping, he looked through to see the four men he saw outside sitting and watching in a giant coliseum-like arena. Gohan immediately noticed a girl in the ring with a monstrous beast. The girl had long silver hair, and her eyes like tiny suns shining with hope, she held two light swords and used them gracefully in her combat. She worn golden and silver plate mail, and moved as if she was wearing nothing at all. The demon she faced looked like a giant mutant elephant without the trunk. It rushed at her furiously, while she merely stepped around its attacks, apparently toying with it.
“Wow” Gohan said aloud, not realizing he was being watched now.
Two guards had been walking down the corridor, and saw him staring out the window, Gohan hadn’t noticed because he was too enticed by the girl fighting. The guards immediately seized him and took him to the cell blocks. Gohan grunted as he was thrown against the wall. As he was sliding down the wall, he looked up to see the gates closing him in the musty, dark prison cell.
“How did this happen” Gohan questioned his actions.
“All because of that warrior, no, that girl” Gohan said to himself.
Gohan had no idea how long he had been waiting here, he sighed, looking up at the ceiling now, the guards were walking back and forth along all the cells, “guarding” Gohan assumed. Although one of the guards seemed to be more interested in his magazine than actually guarding, Gohan sighed, wondering what was going to happen to him.
“Boy” boomed of the guards, calling out to Gohan using hand gestures to summon Gohan.
Gohan walked up to the cell door, grabbing the bars with his hands.
“What” Gohan asked.
The guard began to laugh and wheeze, like he had a smoking problem. Then he slapped Gohan across the face, murmured to the other guards, and the door was opened. Gohan was immediately shackled by his wrists and feet. Gohan sighed, now being forced to walk down a corridor against his will. A large steel door was at the end of the corridor, and as it opened, bright light shined through the dark corridor, Gohan wanted to shield his eyes but his hands were immobilized. Gohan was pushed into the light, and the door was immediately shut. Gohan rolled out into the dirt grunting a bit as he brought himself to his feet. He looked around, and to his surprise he was in the arena he had seen that girl fighting it.
“They must make prisoners fight demons for entertainment” Gohan concluded to himself.
Gohan noticed there were no demons in the arena however, yet anyway, he decided he’d leave himself cuffed to make things more dramatic later on. He grinned to himself as he thought about it. Although he was strong, and pure, he still was a kid after all, and he wanted to look cool. Gohan suddenly noticed another steel door, on the opposite end of the arena. Although it was a large arena, with many seats and various decorations, the only ones to watch were the four men he had seen early. Gohan looked up at the sky; he had just noticed that the arena didn’t have a dome over it. As the steel door opened, Gohan’s eyes watched it diligently, wandering what kind of creature he would have to fight. As the door fully opened, a massive creature stepped out through the tiny door. Gohan personally was surprised that it could fight through the door. The creature was significantly taller than Gohan; it must have been at least 9 feet tall. Gohan crouched down low to the ground, giving the creature a serious look. The creature had massive muscles, grey-skin, leather-hide skin, and small spikes emerging from its arms and legs, it also didn’t seem very intelligent. In addition, the creature came with a weapon, a giant club with spikes on the end of it. Gohan grinned, knowing he was going to be having fun. The creature suddenly came at Gohan; it swung its massive club expecting to pummel Gohan into dust. However, Gohan quickly leapt up following the club and landing on the club itself, so that when it came back around the beast looked around for Gohan, while he dashed up the monstrosities arm. Gohan stood on the creatures shoulder, and suddenly he swung both of his legs around, smashing his feet into the ogre’s face. Then Gohan leapt back off the air, and landed gracefully on the ground. Then he leapt back and spread his legs apart as far as his chain would allow it. The ogre however was furious and ready to attack once again. The club came down at Gohan; however he was able to dash backwards, avoiding the colossal blow. Then flipping forward he landed back on the club, running up it once again. This time he focused his energy into his body, and as he came up to the ogre’s head, he forced his body forward, slamming the force of whole body into the ogre’s face. The Ki that helped empower Gohan’s attack knocked the ogre onto the ground with a crashing boom. Meanwhile, Gohan had landed on his feet gracefully; now looking up to the men watching and he blew a kiss, tauntingly.
“Damnit” one of the men screamed.
“Calm down” the man with the long silver hair said.
“Surely, he won’t do this well for long” the silver haired man said once again.
Gohan however was feeling quite confident and was ready for anything that they were going to send at him. The doors opened once again, and Gohan smugly looked over to see darkness, the doors shut and nothing came out. Gohan looked around confused.
“What the hell” Gohan asked himself.
Were they out of monsters already? Gohan couldn’t possibly think why they would even open the door if nothing was coming out…
“Ugh” Gohan grunted as he fell to the ground.
He had felt a sudden force hit him in the gut, but he couldn’t see anything. He stood back up, coughing in pain, looking around.
“What the hell is this” Gohan said slightly angry.
Another blow to the gut, Gohan grunted in agony. He now fell backwards, from what felt like a shot to the face. Gohan leapt back up to his feet, not sure what to do, surely he was fighting someone, but he couldn’t see who it was. Gohan grunted as he got punched in the chest, now flying back slightly from the blow. He couldn’t hear any movement, and there were no footprints left behind. Gohan grunted again, as he fell on his back.
“Damnit, this isn’t fair” Gohan said angrily.
Now feeling another crushing blow to his ribs, whatever this creature was, it continued to attack mercilessly. Gohan slam into the nearby wall, grunting as rubble collapsed down and hit him hard.
“Gah” Gohan groaned in pain, his vision was slowly beginning to blur.
Gohan found himself flying up into the air now, and then suddenly small gashes opened up on his arms, legs and upper body. He grunted in pain, now falling slowly to the arena floor, hitting it hard.
“See” said the man with long silver hair excitedly.
“Yeah, yeah” the other man grumbled, watching the one sided battle.
“It’s just matches are more fun when the ones getting killed can at least fight back, you know” the man said.
“Perhaps, but sometimes cruelty needs to be enforced onto humanity” the silver haired man said once more, smirking now as he watched Gohan get pummeled.
Gohan however was not enjoying this as much as the man with silver hair.
“Damnit, I’m so sick of this…” Gohan screamed in rage, his aurora flaring up now.
”If I can’t see you… then I’ll just hit everything at once…” Gohan said quietly, but ferociously.
He clenched both his fists, bringing them in to his waist. Ki energy flared out from his fists, emitting strong energy that kept the unseen foe at bay. Gohan however, screamed, heightening his to half its maximum. Startling the observers and pushing back his foe. Gohan’s eyes entirely filled with silver ki, allowing him to see his invisible foe. While the invisible demon merely leapt in the air, attempting to come down with a slashing blow. However, Gohan seeing this, merely thrusting both of his arms forward, aimed directly at this foe. He yelled, releasing a barrage of ki balls from both his fists into the invisible warrior.
“KI FURY” Gohan screamed as the energy flowed out rapidly into his target, tearing the demon up piece by piece.
The balls of ki covered such an area that it was impossible for the invisible demon to dodge, and upon being struck down, his lifelessly body dropped to the arena floor, twitching, before it finally stopped moving entirely. Gohan’s attack was effective, even though he remained bounded by these chains, his body had returned to its normal state, the ki had lowered itself, and his eyes returned to their normal shade of black. Gohan let out a huff of air, and slowly kneeled to one knee, his breathing was a little more rapid now, and the men were merely staring in awe.
“How could a kid… beat a demon… let alone generate THAT much power” one of the men asked exasperatedly.
“Hmm” the silver haired man said curiously, his eyes locked on Gohan still.
“Perhaps… Asuki” the silver haired man suggested.
“Wait… the ogre is getting back up, maybe she won’t need to be wasted on this boy” one of the men said excitedly.
Meanwhile Gohan was noticing the ogre getting back up as well. He now realized that his blow merely knocked him down, not killed him. He sighed, leaping back form the ogre to get his distance. The ogre however, swung his mighty club, which ironically covered the entire distance between him and Gohan. The massive blow knocked Gohan into the stands, and left the ogre chuckling in delight.
“Ha-ha” one of the men cried out as Gohan took a hard hit.
Gohan grunted, now standing up from the stands, looking at the ogre getting slightly annoyed.
“I hate this… one fight after another… when will I catch a break” Gohan said to himself.
Gohan raised his aurora once again, this time slowly raising his arms up with his aurora, so that his chained wrists crossed over his head. Then he slowly spread his legs apart as far as he could muster; now allowing his aurora to grow. The ogre suddenly stopped its next attack, watching Gohan curiously. Gohan closed his eyes slowly, breathing in slowly, his aurora flaring brightly now, burning away at stone around him. He then quickly but forcefully pulled his arms in opposite directions, his left arm to his left side and his right to his right side, this snapped the cuffs on his wrists, and thus expanded his aurora, which broke his feet cuffs, and then incinerated the metal that remained on his body. Gohan stood entirely free from his old bounds with his power raging, he watched intently at the ogre, who didn’t seem to have caught on to Gohan’s trick just yet. However, the men were infuriated with this aspect, other than the silver haired man, who ensured that the fight between Gohan and Asuki would be one to remember. Gohan however made quick work of the ogre, he dashed forward, slamming a fist of ki energy into its gut, and then leapt up forcing his fist to smash upward in an uppercut of ki through the ogres jaw. Then as Gohan leapt back, he merely released a wave of golden energy from his hands, incinerating the ogre as if it was nothing. Gohan’s powers seemed to have peaked after breaking the binds he had on. Gohan fiercely looked up to the men; he was tired of this game.
“Are we done” he yelled up, asking the men.
“Oh not quite, one more challenger yet boy” the silver haired man shouted back confidently.
Gohan sneered, now looking at the door, waiting for it to open. When the door finally did open, he locked his eyes on the darkness once again. To his great surprise, a girl with long beautiful silver hair, golden and silver plate mail, and two sharp rapiers walked out. She spun the rapiers through her hands, walking up to Gohan, but keeping her distance. She bowed slightly, and then got into a fighting stance. Gohan’s eyes widened, and then he suddenly clenched his fists. Not preparing for battle, but angry from the next opponent he would have to face.
“May the best fighter win” the girl said emotionlessly.
Gohan didn’t answer, he was still enveloped in his own hatred for the men that put him here, and he wasn’t sure if he could bring himself to fight her. However he had little choice, she had already shot forward on the offense, and it was fight or die…
“You think that thing can defeat my perfect Asuki” A man in all black, with cracked shades said furiously.
“Asuki” a man in similar clothing with a long white hair said.
