Gohan still soaring through the air, his aurora fueling his speed, his fists clenched tightly, he had some more work to do before anything else came. Gohan knew that if he wanted to save the Earth as his father had he would have to increase his abilities several fold. He knew of one thing that could help him in his training, the demon technique booklet that Asuki left him. He merely had to learn how to read and perform the deadly techniques within’ it. Gohan merely had to find someone who would be capable of helping him learn this abilities, he didn’t have the faintest clue, and thought it best to just see if there were any other techniques he could understand from within’ the book. Gohan decided to land on a small island just to the East of where he had been with Leon and the Shaman. Gohan walked over, propping his body up against a tree, and pulling the book from his pocket. He then opened it, and slowly flipped through the pages, looking for something he could use. He slowly read those passages that were in English, reviewing the images that proved a great help for him. Most of these techniques took energy from the body and used it as an extension of the user. Gohan contemplated, considering the idea that maybe the demons would use some of these techniques against him and his friends. Gohan sighed, continuing to read through the book. He spent the entire night on the island reading the book of techniques and using what knowledge he had to decipher and perform those that he could. The next thing he remembered he was rubbing his eyes, looking around, he had obviously fallen asleep and the book had fallen and lay in the sand. Gohan grabbed it, pocketing the book and then he slowly stood up.
“Well, I guess I better get in as much training as I can” Gohan said to himself.
He looked around at the small island not much, but it would do. He slowly walked into the small forest on the island, pushing brush and branches aside as he walked on. He slowly came to a small waterfall filling into a small pool in the middle of the entire island. Gohan looked around and shrugged, it had been some time since he had anytime to relax and clean up. He tossed his torn GI off and leapt into the pool of water. He sighed in relief as he slowly swam around mostly relaxing more than moving. He dived down in the shallow pool, still being able to submerge himself due to his small stature in height. As he came up for a breath of air he smiled, slowly swimming over to the waterfall, allowing the cool water to rain down on him. His muscles were far more relaxed now, especially after his deadly fight with the other Hybrid earlier the other day. Gohan slowly stepped out of the pool, using his aurora to blow the water off of him. He then pulled his shirt back on, and stepped into his pants. Then he tied them together as he always did, his uniformed looked so ragged from his battles, however he couldn’t do much about it now. He slowly walked over to the rocky base of the waterfall and merely leapt up, landing on the top of the waterfall. He then walked along the coast of the water running down to the pool; Gohan feeling quite refreshed was ready for some serious training. As he continued walking on, brush cleared and the area was filled with small huts, a fire at the center, and water surrounded the village, like a moat. The village implied the island wasn’t near as small as Gohan thought it was. He slowly leapt over the water that stretched around and circled around the village, landing now on the ground within’ the village, the people seemed peaceful, and didn’t notice him at first. The people however upon seeing Gohan were mostly shocked more than anything, to think that someone, a boy no less, would be able to navigate their way here to this island and locate their village.
“Hello” Gohan said, trying to ask a nearby villager.
However Gohan seemed to be talking in vein, everyone here seemed to ignore him. Gohan merely sighed, looking around, still walking through the village. Gohan sighed now, he felt as though his work had been effortless, he worked his way to get here, seeking assistance and now everyone was ignoring him. He clenched his fists tightly, however concealing his anger. He continued walking, until finally someone acknowledged him, a strong, built man with a spear in his hand.
“Outsider leave this place at once, while you still have your life” The man shouted sternly.
Gohan decided this guy was the big bad tough guy of the village, he didn’t have time to mess around with warriors, and he needed to see a shaman or a witchdoctor… someone who could interpret demon language.
“Who is going to take my life?” Gohan asked curiously, looking to the man who was obviously started to get enraged.
“I will, leave now” The man shouted once again.
However Gohan shook his head, merely standing his ground.
“I’m sorry, but I have more important matters to attend to, I need to see someone capable of ancient magic, not a petty warrior” Gohan stated, slowly walking past the man now.
The warrior was infuriated, he had never let anyone who insulted him so live, and he decided that he would make quick work of this boy now. The warrior lunge his body forward, stabbing his spear forward, piercing through Gohan’s backside. So he thought, the image that he thought was Gohan, faded away.
“What” The warrior said as he desperately looked around for the boy.
Gohan stood right behind the warrior, he had moved so quickly that he was able to dodge the blow, and what was thought to be him was merely an image left from his speed, something he longed to master, however hadn’t gotten around to visiting the Kame House.
“I told you, I have no time for this” Gohan said, now quickly throwing several quick but effective blows into the warrior’s lower spine.
The warrior grunted and fell forward onto his face, coughing and groaning. Gohan merely stepped over the warrior and continued forward, moving on and eventually finding a camp-like base, filled with several warriors, much like the one he saw before. They all had darkened skin from the ultra violet rays they were always exposed too, a permanent tan one might say. Gohan walked into the base-camp and almost immediately the warrior he had taken down from before recognized him and told his friends. Gohan watched as several tougher looking warriors began to approach him. Gohan sighed as they approached, preparing himself for another offensive if need be.
“Yes” Gohan asked as they stopped a few feet before him.
“Our brother says you were able to take him out with a single blow, so instigator, do you want to try that with us” one of the two men said, both threateningly pushing forward.
“I told your brother, I don’t have time for this, I need information of Demonology, if you could just point me to someone who could help me, I’ll be on my way” Gohan said, watching the brothers as they spoke with another, obviously confused by some of Gohan’s lingo.
“If you can beat us, we will show you to our greatest shaman who works with Demons” the other of the two men said.
Gohan sighed, and nodded agreeing to the men’s terms.
“Fine, if that’s how you want it” Gohan said quietly.
The men suddenly attacked in unison, rushing forward and stabbing Gohan from two different angles, fortunately for Gohan, he was long gone, he had leapt backwards and rush forward at the foolish warriors. They may have had power, but they lacked the gift of speed, Gohan assumed they were still getting used to the spear, he ducked under another stab through the air, then rolled to the side, now leaping forward and taking a shot into one of the warriors guts, his punch digging into the man’s gut. As Gohan dug his fist upward into his gut, he slowly twisted it and then drew it back and struck the warrior in the chest, leaving the remaining warrior to face him. Gohan quickly phased forward, allowing the oncoming spear to miss him horribly, Gohan in turn then gathered a mass of ki into his fist, and then he quickly powered it up further, re-fortifying it with additional ki. Gohan leapt to the side, avoiding another stab, and then rushed forward and punched the man in the gut with his Super Ki Punch. Gohan looked down at the warrior, shaking his head a bit as he did so.
“Alright, tell me where the shaman is now” Gohan demanded, the warrior grunting and spewing up blood as he slowly, shakily pointed to a small hut grimly decorated with skulls.
Gohan slowly walked over to the hut, opening the door revealing a man dressed in a colorful outfit with an ancient mask covering his face.
“Shut the door young one” The shaman said as Gohan entered the hut.
Gohan nodded, shutting the door and walking up to the shaman eager to tell him of the happenings.
“I come asking if you can interpret demon language for me” Gohan asked the shaman.
The shaman stared at Gohan for a second, or at least Gohan thought so, he could hardly tell as the shaman was wearing a mask.
“Let me see the parchment…” the shaman said seriously.
Gohan nodded, pulling out the book and handing it over to the shaman. The shaman opened the book after taking it into his hands and slowly looked through it.
“Yes…” the shaman said.
Gohan smiled and could hardly contain himself.
“Really, you can tell me what the book says” Gohan asked eagerly.
The shaman nodded and began his work, reading through the book quickly first, before starting to help Gohan with his requests. The shaman not only sensing Gohan’s incredible Ki compared to his own, knew of the upcoming threat to Earth, he knew that this boy would need all the help he could get.
“Well, I guess I better get in as much training as I can” Gohan said to himself.
