Asuki let out a might roar, swinging her blades at Gohan in a tornado like fashion. Slashing with one, spinning her body, thus moving forward, and slashing again, Gohan however was not happy about this, he leapt back, avoiding her blows, but had to stay on his toes.
“Damnit” Gohan said as she came around for another strike.
Gohan leapt to the girls left, now hurling his fist into her side; however to his great surprise she was ahead of him, she spun around the attack, and slashed Gohan once across the chest and again across the abdomen. The clean cuts appearing slowly after she had already retracted her blades and preparing for another attack, blood flowed freely from the wounds, and Gohan slowly backed up.
“Fight me” the girl said once again emotionlessly.
Gohan looked at her, his eyes widening a bit.
“Don’t just stand there and ogle me, fight me” she said, this time with a little anger in her voice.
She quickly thrust her blades forward before Gohan had any chance to avoid. The blade pushing through his gut, he coughed, as she retracted the blade, blood now running out from his mouth.
“I thought you were supposed to be a strong warrior, you took out both those demons while shackled, and you can’t even lay a hit on me” she said tauntingly now.
Gohan grinded his teeth and then clenched his fists, his aurora now flaring around his body.
“This is an entirely different situation…” Gohan said slowly.
“What, just because I have boobs” she asked irritated.
Gohan clenched his teeth again, his hands losing grip of their fists.
“No…” Gohan said.
“Right, then I you’ll just have to die like the rest, you disappointed me, Gohan” she said, now rushing forward, drawing back her blades to finish him.
She spun forward, slashing Gohan across the chest again, his wounds making a thin X, then as she came around to stab him, Gohan spun out of the way. Asuki gasped as he dodged; now looking to see the boy already hurling a punch her way. The blow knocked her backwards, sending her skidding across the arena floor. Gohan lowered his arm, now glaring in her direction. Asuki grunted, standing up and rubbing her bruised cheek.
“So you have some bite in you after all” Asuki said, as she lowered herself into another offensive stance.
Asuki was running back towards Gohan once again, spinning into her attacks, trying to slash Gohan with her blades. Gohan however was easily able to evade her moves; he stepped out of the way just in time, dodging another stab Asuki through into her form to throw him off. Gohan leapt back, dodging a powerful slam into the ground with her blades. Asuki grinded her teeth, getting angry at Gohan for toying with her, she suddenly stopped, her entire form spread out, she yelled raising a purple aurora around her body.
“I TOLD YOU TO FIGHT ME” she screamed as her power seemed to have increased in her rage.
Gohan didn’t looked shock by her reaction or her power increase; he was still fighting on half power. However Asuki’s swords suddenly change within’ her aurora. Her thin, weakly rapiers suddenly expanded into thicker, sleeker, sharper, katanas. Other than her switching her weapons and increasing her power nothing else changed. She however dashed forward, now crossing the blades into scissors and holding them at his neck level. She opened them as she closed in and prepared to snap them shut around his neck.
“At least be a little more creative” Gohan said, ducking under the closing katanas with ease.
Her gut was open, Gohan took three shots, sending a punch to her stomach, another hard blow to her stomach, sending her to her knees, thus lowering the katanas, and then as he stood up, looking down at the kneeling warrior, he spun his body around, drawing his leg back and sending a powerful kick into her jaw. This blow sent her flying back into the stands, crushing part of the stands and causing rubble to collapse upon her. Gohan sighed, stepping back and then looking up to the men who seemed not only shocked, but enraged.
“I think I’m done here” Gohan said loud enough for the men to hear.
With that, Gohan was on his way out of the arena, tired of fighting. However the men didn’t believe it was time for Gohan to depart just yet.
“Oh ho-ho-ho” said the shorter man.
“You are indeed powerful, we cannot let you leave, and you’ll be fighting for us from now on, making us all filthy rich. You owe us for taking out our demons” the shorter man concluded, watching Gohan stop in his tracks.
Gohan’s eye twitched, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing, and they actually took advantage of the demons and used them for personal gain as well as a sport for entertainment. He clenched his fists and suddenly turned around, glaring at the men, his aurora flared around him violently, and his power rising beyond his control. He shot into the air, flying at the tower they all watched from. The men quickly scattering in frenzy, except the silver haired man. As Gohan was about to reach the tower, he was suddenly stopped in his place. Asuki stood before him; she now bore beautiful blue wings of energy that grew out from her back, which enabled her to fly.
“If you want to get to them, you’ll have to kill me” Asuki said, now raising her katanas into a defensive position.
“Don’t be foolish, once their gone you’ll be free to live” Gohan said angrily, his eyes narrowing in on the tower.
“No, my loyalty resides in them” Asuki said, opening her aerial stance and using her aurora to blow Gohan into the arena floor.
Asuki no longer bore any kind of confidence or control over the situation, she merely darted down at Gohan, drawing one of her katanas back, when she approached Gohan, and she stabbed through his gut with it, and then slashed the other one across his cheek. Now drawing the blades back and fluttering back into the air, she stared down at Gohan, watching him. Gohan stood up, holding his stab wound now, grunting as he looked up at Asuki.
“Please, don’t make me do this…” Gohan pleaded Asuki.
“You want those men dead, so kill me” Asuki declared.
“You don’t have to die” Gohan said to her.
“I don’t have to, but I want to” Asuki said, slowly in a saddening voice.
She flew down, standing before Gohan, showing no violent tendencies, merely wanting to explain herself, hoping she could sway Gohan into killing her.
“You see, I was caught by these men, and trained, punished, tortured into fighting for them. I fought well, and it was fight or die, every minute I wasn’t sleeping, I was fighting. They whipped me… burned me… nearly killed me…” a tear running down her cheek as Asuki went on.
Gohan following the story only started to get more enraged by the cruelty to demons. They may be demons, but not all demons are evil, and not all humans are good.
“Perhaps…” Asuki started.
“It would be better if I showed you…” she said, now dropping a katana and raising her hand, which now that Gohan looked at it was thick with callus. Gohan touched her hand, and he immediately was draw into her. Gohan suddenly was looking through Asuki’s eyes, the area was luscious, flourishing plantation grew, and demons lived happily minding their own business, all seemed well. It wasn’t long before this vision shattered, a hole ripped open in the sky, and warriors flew down, blasting away at everything, tearing the demons apart, killing those that they could and keeping the rest for themselves. These humans were powerful, overwhelming with strength. They must have extraordinary Ki energy, Gohan could hardly feel it, but it was still frightening. Everything went black, and Gohan suddenly found Asuki in the prison cell much like he had been in, however she was being taunted by the guards. Provoked, attacked, Asuki could only cower in the corner, trying to get away, but unable to.
“Please, stop it…” a younger, quieter version of Asuki pleaded to the men, who were making cruel and derogatory gestures at her.
“Perhaps we’ll see how much of a human she is, take your cloths off bitch” one of the guards said, now locking himself in the cell with her.
The other guards sighing in disappointed as they were shut out.
“Don’t worry you’ll get your turn” the current guard said, pulling Asuki closer to him and tearing away at her cloths.
Gohan immediately filled with rage, however he soon found out he could do nothing as he was merely observing and this had already happened before his own time. He watched again and again as Asuki was defiled, forced into pain and over all raped by the men. Gohan closed his eyes, tears slowly running down from his closed eye lids, having to hear Asuki scream over and over again for help, but it was in vein, no one would help her, no one. He opened his eyes, they were still bubbly from his tears, he saw a new memory, and the old one however still lingered in his own mind. This time, Asuki was training; she was using swords, perfecting her style and form. The silver haired man was watching once again, instructing her from time to time, and beating her when she messed up.
”Faster” the silver haired man yelled, snapping his whip hard against her body, leaving what seemed like another gash on her skin. Her body was covered in bruises, scars and gashes, blood flowing out of her wounds as she continued, swinging her sword and spinning around, using the same tactics she had just used against him, however these were no where near as fluent.
“Ugh… please… sir… it hurts…” Asuki cried out in pain as she stumbled from her loss of balance.
“Good” screamed the silver haired man, now lashing his whip mercilessly against her back.
Asuki screamed in agony with each blow, her eyes bubbling up and tears slowly flowing down her cheeks, she screamed out for help, but all she got was more pain.
“Stop crying you sniveling bitch” the silver haired man yelled, beating her now more fiercely that before.
Gohan found it amazing that Asuki was still alive. None the less, Gohan’s anger was rising once again, this time more than before, he clenched his fists, grinding his teeth his aurora shining brilliantly.
“ENOUGH” Gohan yelled in anger, and with that he suddenly found himself in the arena again, standing before Asuki who was once again holding her two katanas at a lowered position. Gohan’s aurora and burst of fiery surprised the men, for they had only see Gohan just standing there next Asuki the whole time. However they weren’t foolish enough to provoke the boy anymore than he was, they wanted to live.
“Sorry…” Asuki said quietly as she looked at Gohan, and then lowered her head to the ground.
“Once I’m dead though, I’ll permanently be freed from their grasps… all be at peace finally… you have to kill me… you must kill me” Asuki begged to Gohan who was already infuriated from what these humans had done.
“No don’t you see, you could live happily however you wanted once their dead, once this place is blow up, you can go on living” Gohan urged her, now grabbing her by the shoulders and looking into her eyes.
Asuki blushed for she was never treated with such compassion; however she went on with her desire.
“No, I have to many scars that won’t let me forget, when I’m done, I know that for sure I’ll be safe forever, no one will be able to force me to do anything” Asuki said once more.
“You’re so powerful though, you could overwhelm anyone who tries to force you to do anything you don’t want, why is it that you feel as though death is the only way to resolve this, dying won’t do anything, one you die you’re gone, you can never come back and you’ll never have feeling again, emotions will be gone, and you will be truly alone” Gohan said, going on trying to convince her otherwise.
Asuki looked at him, opening her mouth slightly, and then she lowered her head, she looked at Gohan and then to the men. She nodded and then turned back to Gohan, as if trying to reassure that she was about to get the kill.
“Alright…just pretend to finish me and then you’ll have access to them” Asuki said, leaping back and getting into an offensive stance.
Gohan nodded, smiling a little, then returned to his serious attitude, his aurora flared to show he meant business.
“Let’s finish this boy” Asuki yelled as she rushed in violently.
Gohan smirked, gathering energy into two hands, and then he raised his arms, now crossing his hands at his forehead, watching her draw closer. Gohan calculated the precise point in which to strike her so that his blast would knock her out, and not kill her. Asuki drew closer, drawing her blades back, and as she went to lunge her blade forward to skewer Gohan, he leapt into the air, now looking down at her. She stood dumbfounded, and looked up just in time for the golden energy strike her, engulfing her and pushing her into a large crater the blast formed. Gohan however floated victoriously and then glanced over to see the men all scrambling before Gohan could go on the attack again. It was too late for them, and the silver haired man knew it, he stood accepting what was about to come. Gohan raised his right arm and quickly gathered Ki above his opened palm. The energy beginning to flare with excitement and fury, the small ball of golden-orange energy was quickly tossed into the tower without hesitation. The ball expanded, and expanded until it reached the tower, upon contact, it imploded into a massive dome of energy, burning away, destroying, and incinerating half of the coliseum, including the tower. Gohan’s breath was more rapid now, he looked at the remains, seeing no sign of movement and not feeling anymore life energy. He sighed slightly, questioning whether it was right to kill them, although they did such horrible deeds, they were still human. He looked into the sky, asking himself.
“Father….” Gohan said silently, wiping a single tear from his eyes.
Gohan nodded and slowly floated back over to the crater, when he landed on the rim of it, he looked down to see Asuki crying. Gohan quickly slid down the crater’s edge and helped her up, wiping the tears from her eyes and hugging her. Asuki however wasn’t finished, her tears kept flowing, she was so happy, she was finally free and she didn’t even have to die, someone had actually cared for her, and it was nice.
“Thank you, Gohan…” Asuki said, now walking with him out of the crater.
“It was nothing, I was just trying to do what my dad would have done” Gohan said nodding to her.
The two slowly began to walk away from the arena, heading outside to say one final farewell to this place, before it went up in flames. However, Gohan hadn’t expected anyone to survive, yet the silver haired man stood before them at the entrance, grunting, and growling.
“You… won’t get away from me boy” the silver haired man said, rushing at them both.
The man had a gleaming wave of energy surrounding his fist, and rushed forward, aiming to attack Gohan. However as he closed in and went to send his attack into the boy’s gut, Asuki stepped in front of Gohan and took the full force of the blow, clenching her teeth and grunting in agony.
“Not quite… now it’s your turn to die” Asuki said, drawing her katanas and slashing them along the silver haired mans body so that he fell back coughing and groaning in pain. Blood flowed freely from his new wounds and he seemed to have died, meanwhile Asuki was on the ground in pain from the blow, the attack pierced through her armor and torn through her body, leaving a gapping hole through her. Gohan gasped as he held her, helping her to the ground.
“No” Gohan said, tears starting to flow down his eyes.
“It’s ok…” Asuki coughed, grunting as she looked up at Gohan.
“This, this is what I wanted, and you’re right, it’s not as cut out as I thought it would be. I’m glad I met you before this happened though” Asuki said, grinning a bit as she closed her eyes.
“Please no… don’t die, I can get you help, you’ll be fine, just hold on…” Gohan said, gripping her.
“Don’t you think you’re being a little selfish kid” Asuki asked him, once again opening her eyes to meet his own.
“What…” Gohan asked somewhat shocked.
“You want me to live so I can be happy, but I am happy, you’ve shown me what I didn’t realize, and now that I see it, I can die happily, I’m ready for this fate… I have no regrets Gohan…” Asuki said, pleading him to let go, let her be in peace.
Gohan went to protest, however he shut his mouth, although he didn’t truly accept her death, he wanted to at least respect her wishes.
“Here…” Asuki said, handing him a small fluorescent orb.
Gohan looked it curiously, and then looked to Asuki.
“I left you something, go to my old cell, and break the orb inside of the cell and then you’ll be able to find it. My cell block was number 110…” Asuki grasped for air, struggling to go on.
“Time is short, Gohan, thank you for everything, get that which I left you, and please blow this place to hell, where it belongs” Asuki asked him, before finally gasping for her final breath.
Asuki’s eyes slowly shut and her lingering smile slowly faded, her body started to pale and Gohan could no longer feel her life energy. He lowered himself to her, resting his head on her and crying, knowing the pain she went through and how unfair her life was, he paid his respects. He picked up her body and through it over his back, when he was done with this place, he would surely be able to give her a proper burial. He carried her and moved through the corridors as quickly as he could, making his way to the cell blocks. It was hard to miss the cell blocks, they smelt of rotten blood. Gohan laid Asuki down near the door, and then busted it down, rolling into the room. The guards were surprised to see the boy alive and in one piece. None of them had heard what had happened. Gohan suddenly dashed forward and struck a larger guard in the neck, then flipped up and came down on another’s head, pushing him the guard to the ground with the weight of his body. Gohan then shot himself forward, releasing his aurora to blow away the two that stood before his old cell block, number 110, the same one Asuki had. Gohan opened the cell door, and pulled out the orb from his pocket, the orb shined more brightly in the cells because of the natural darkness. Gohan held the orb in one hand and smashed his hand into the orb with force, shattering it. Light spread throughout the entire cell block as if cleansing it. Gohan looked around, seeing if anything unusually showed up, he noticed on the bed, a small blue book, that he never noticed before. He walked over, and picked it up, putting it in his pocket for now. He didn’t have time to linger, surely more guards would be on their way and he needed to blow this place. Gohan quickly ran out of the cell block and headed back to the corridor; from there he picked up Asuki and made his way down the corridor, towards the central core of the entire facility. Gohan was lucky; most of the people here on duty were either sleeping or too busy talking to one another. Even with Asuki on his back, Gohan was able to maintain a shadow to the guards. Eventually Gohan reached it; there was a large core of energy, much like a gap in dimensions, it was housed in a room of thick metal and massive Ki energy to maintain its stability. Gohan smirked and knew the easiest way to blow this place, was to destroy the stabilizers, or in laymen’s terms, the entire room. This would cause the portal to break down and overall implode, destroying it and everything around it. However Gohan also had to be able to get out of the facility in time.
“Hmm…” Gohan thought about it for a moment, and then sighed, he couldn’t think of a way to outrun the blast, even if he did fly at full speed, surely he would be sucked in as well.
“Use the book…” Gohan heard.
Gohan blinked and shook his head, but nonetheless he pulled the book from his pocket and opened it, realizing it was full of techniques. He flipped through the pages, looking for something that may help him. All of them seemed complex and high leveled something that only a true demon could pull off. He assumed that Asuki was studying this to help hone her abilities and perhaps learn something in the process. Gohan blinked, still turning the page, some techniques were even written in languages he couldn’t understand. Gohan growled, he was getting impatient and annoyed at the fact that he was being outwitted by a book. Up until now he had been able to read, understand and master every book he’s every read, but this one was just too complex for him, he would have to seek assistance if he wished to find out the true secrets of the book. However he figured that surely there was a technique written in English that he could use at this moment. As Gohan turned the page he found it, the technique that would be able to help him.
“It says, you need to focus your energy into however many points you want to detonate. Energy will be stored at those points and can be released at any time in an explosion, varying in size depending on the amount focused” Gohan read to himself.
“Damn, I can see how someone might want to use that in battle, laying sort of land mines around the battlefield, and when their opponent is in position, boom” Gohan thought to himself.
Gohan however put the book away and decided to try it. He figured four points would be enough; he began to focus his energy, closing his eyes and circulating his breathing. He imagined separating his energy into different points, as if breaking it into pieces and just placing it there for later. He clenched his fists and his aurora flared up, his energy surging now. He stood up, relieving his stance, and allowing his aurora to flow outward into four different points, one on each side of the portal. A ball of energy was hooked onto the portal at four points and floated ready for use. Gohan smirked, and he nodded, he held tightly to Asuki and quickly made his escape. He ran back through the corridors, taking no detours this time, he wanted to blow this place and bury Asuki properly, then he could go back to his training and perhaps even reading that new book a little. Soon Gohan was back out into the fresh air, he nodded running back into the dark parts of the woods and taking cover behind trees, then in his mind, he released his hold on his energy, one after the other. The balls of energy exploded, creating a chain reaction that struck the portal and gave it a little push, causing it to over react. Sparks and energy surged, cracking away at the walls, until finally, the entire facility had gone up in red energy. When the energy cleared, rumble, flames and dust remained around the area. Leaving no sign of life, and the end of the facility for good, Gohan let out a heavy sigh of relief, finally it was over. He smiled, talking to himself, but hoping she’d be able to hear it.
“We did it, it’s finally over, thanks Asuki” Gohan said, before slowly taking into the air and flying off to a small meadow that he knew of. One in the meadow, he began digging a hole to fit the size of Asuki’s body and structure, he dug the hole deep, in hopes that her grave would never be defiled, after the hole was dug, he took her body and placed her into the pure earth. He believed Asuki would of enjoyed dying with the planet she loved, he had seen it in her memories, she had always enjoyed plantation and animal life. Gohan then leapt out of the hole, and slowly filled it back up with soil. Gohan then walked into the woods, finding two sticks. He placed a thicker stick into the ground at the head of her grave, and then pushed a small stick through the thicker one, making a make-shift cross. He then stood over the dirt and put his hands out, releasing his ki into the ground, enhancing the growth of plantation so that the spot wouldn’t look different from any other, excluding his cross. Gohan nodded, seeing the plant life quickly grow up, filling in the dirt. Then he gave his final respects wishing her eternal peace in the afterlife.
“Well… I hope you get peace up there in Heaven, perhaps I will see you someday… when I’m older” Gohan said, with a sad tone in his voice.
“Hopefully… when I’m older” Gohan added, and he sighed looking at her grave he started to cry. He remained there all night, crying over Asuki, the demon who never wanted anything more than a peaceful life.
“Damnit” Gohan said as she came around for another strike.
Gohan leapt to the girls left, now hurling his fist into her side; however to his great surprise she was ahead of him, she spun around the attack, and slashed Gohan once across the chest and again across the abdomen.
